Playmobil remains one of the most elaborate play worlds available in the toy market today, and has been since the 1970’s. Of course, when you have to continue to release new characters and environments every year, some less-than-fun ones are bound to be released. The Chicago Tribune has a pretty funny gallery of strange Playmobil sets over the decades. Also, they posted a short article about other strange sets earlier this week.
This sad pile of coal, which is sold as a seperate accessory, is among the saddest toys I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine many kids begging their parents to buy them a pile of fake coal. And there’s always the naughty conontation thanks to Santa Claus if it is given as a gift.
