I’m a total pool shark. Much like the Spanish Inquisition, however, nobody expects it. (If you got that reference, I love you. If you didn’t, click the link and thank me later.) Of course, the looks of surprise make winning all that much sweeter!
I figure the only real reason I’m good at billiards is that I have a real knack for geometry. Set me up with any other kid of math and I go completely dim, but angles and shapes have always just come naturally to me. (And I’m pretty sure I’m the only person on the planet who actually LIKED doing proofs!)
Unfortunately, there isn’t room in the house for a pool table, so I go to my grandmother’s house and use the one in her basement when I want to brush up on my mad skills. Maybe some day, I will achieve this level of awesomeness:
All I need is a few hundred dominoes, and I’m set!
I’d love to get my own set-up at home so I can practice more. Sometimes I daydream about the gameroom I want, once we get into our own place. I definitely need a “Dogs Playing Pool” velvet painting somewhere, because it’s so deliciously tacky. Also, I’ve decided I’m in love with these glitter pool balls from HobbyWarehouse.com:
They’re so FUN! Now, all I need to do is convince my better half to shell out the money for a custom Toy Geek table. HA. I also need to invest in a new cue, so if anyone has any suggestions, lay ‘em on me!

Too adorable for words. I really like the white cue ball ring with the black slashes. It would be cute with a casual outfit, or even something a little dressier, and it would make a GREAT conversation piece!
