After the recent release of Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, kids are clamoring for Indiana Jones toys. Hasbro created toys so that kids can pretend to be Indy. The new toys include the iconic Indy whip, a sword and a cool playset among others. Here are a few of the Indiana Jones - themed toys that were released this year.
1. Indiana Jones Mr. Potato Head “Idaho Jones”
Mr. Potato Taters of the Lost Ark is cute wearing his “leather” jacket and carrying a whip just like Indy. Don’t forget the fedora! One really cool thing about this toy is that Idaho Jones’ hat plays a tune - the Raider’s March - when placed on top of Mr. Potato Head.
2. Lego Indiana Jones Temple Escape
As you can very well imagine, there is a lot of potential to create a playset with this Temple Escape theme. Miniature boulders, gold coins, skeletons, bats and snakes were on display, along with a pint-sized figure of Indy himself, complete with a hat, whip and shoulder bag. The playset is definitely one of the best Indiana Jones toys out there. The set includes 554 pieces.
3. The Temple of the Crystal Skull
The Temple of the Crystal Skull is another Lego playset in the Indiana Jones theme. In this playset, Indiana Jones and Mutt are trying to find out the secret of the Temple of the Crystal Skull. Their journey is wrought with dangers like the fearsome Irina Spalko, collapsing stairs, firing spears and all sorts of scary traps. The whopping 929 piece playset includes Indiana Jones, Mutt Williams, Irina Spalko, Russian Guard, two Ugh Warriors and three Akator Skeleton minifigures, and as a bonus, special secret action figures based on the movie.
4. Indiana Jones Sound FX Whip
The Sound FX Whip allows kids to pretend they are Indy. The whip makes
realistic cracking sounds when moved and also plays the theme from the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
5. 12″ Indy Talking Action Figure
Talking Indy is a true superhero. He is ready for action armed with a 16″ whip, a pistol and super cool Indy phrases. He also comes with a messenger bag for stowing treasures.
